Hugs to you. I had 7 children. When Laura died there were a few who saud things like, "Well, at least you have other children." They didn't get that it doen't matter how many you HAVE. You still hurt for the one(s) that you don't have.

Oh Stephen the losses just keep coming don't they? You are the same age as Laura would be now. I lost my dad many years ago. My mother died 19 months after Laura. Some days are better than others. Come and find us on Facebook. Your wife too.

I so remember the hurting that was so very raw back then. I ordered a book from Amazon very shortly after Laura was killed. I have to say it helped me cope in the early days. It is called I WASN'T READY TO SAY GOODBYE~Surviving, Coping & Healing after the Sudden Death of a Loved One. Some people...

Stephen,
Your story brings tears to my eyes. I am so,so sorry for your loss. You are on a journey now. One that no parent wants. I too lost my daughter in a tragic car crash. Hugs of understanding and love to you.

Often times when we lose a parent we have conflicted emotions. Whatever you are feeling is completely normal. Grief is a very individual thing. Here is a poem that has helped me since my mom died 10 days ago. When I come to the end of my journey and I travel my last weary mile, just forget if you ca...

There are no words that I can say to express my sorrow for your loss. You are not alone. As I raise my grandsons, I feel my daughter in my heart. I know she is smiling that they are in a loving home. I hope you will find peace. The wheels of justice turn slowly. But, you may yet get the vengence you...

I am so sorry for your loss. What you wrote really rezonated with me. My dad has been gone 20 years now and I remember feeling exactly the same way. Then my daughter was killed about 1 1/2 years ago and all of those feelings came back a hundred fold. You are on the right track. Continue to take care...

Rose, I am so sorry for your loss. I lost my father to cancer and my daughter in an accident. The gift of cancer is that you have time. Time to make peace. Time to say all the things you need to say to your loved one. Time to say "I love you". When you lose someone suddenly, you never get ...

Yes, 12 days after Calypso. 9 days after my birthday. I miss her terribly, but I am so thankful that she was a part of my life for so long. It is still hard to lose a child of ay age, but I have my memories and her children. That is a comfort.

Oh no I wouldn't mind at all. Thank you. BTW I have a vision of my Laura being Calypso's angel mom. Laura had 3 boys and always wanted a baby girl. When she died she was trying to get pregnant. I picture her up in heaven just loving up the babies.
