Memory of Melody

I was just sitting here thinking about all the sickness that is going around and it made me remember something funny with Melody and I had to share. She was kinda sickly a few weeks before she passed away. She had a bit of a cold...runny nose and coughing. Well she would wake up EVERY morning between 4 and 7 and cry cuz she knew her daddy would go get her out of her crib and put her in bed with us for her to go back to sleep. This night was no different but she was coughing so I turned a night light on and grabbed the cough medicine (that I admit tastes nasty they shoulda made it taste better it was for toddlers!). I asked Sonny to help me, just in case she woke up fully and tried to fight me giving her the medicine. Well I stuck the dropper to her lips, trying to get her to open her mouth, she licked her lips and said "EEEWWWWW...NO" and swatted my hand away. LOL She kept telling me NO and swatting my hand until I got the cough medicine in her but she wasn't happy with me. Sonny and I just could help but crack up at her lil "EWWWW...NO". WE laugh about it still. Just the other night Landon was in our bedroom just before bed telling me that coughing was keeping him awake and I said well I can give you some cough medicine, that stuff that Melody said "EWWWW No" at and Sonny and I just laughed and Landon turned down taking that cough medicine. Anyway, I just wanted to share my sweet memory of Melody with you all. Love, hugs and prayers to everyone.

Oh Crystal, just looking at your sweet little girl I can just hear her saying that. What a special memory. Hold on to it with all you have because it's memories like that, that will help to carry you.
