Thank you everyone for letting me share . I want to tell you the story behind the one with Julias name on it. The Funeral home I used for Julia made that for us. Every year they do this for families who have lost a loved one who used their Funeral home. They have a nice memorial for everyone. Then on the tree its got ornaments with angels names on it. After Christmas if you wish to get it they let you come pick it up. I did. It was Julias first ornament and Ill never forget what the Funeral home did for us and every family whos lost a loved one threw out the year. Thank you for letting me share this story also. Hugs

Brandy

My camera broke so I had to wait until I could use my daughters to take some pictures. I'm going to add two that is of the memory tree we set up in the mall in the town 32 miles away that we held our candle light service around on Dec.9th. Our tree does have colored lights but they didn't show up. Oh well...
Love, Cindy

Our Christmas tree...

Angle ornaments with B.J.s picture and dates and Wayne and Bucks dates that we always put on our tree.

This little horse B.J. has had for years. A little grandma lady gave it to him with a peppermint candy cane in it one time when our Church went Christmas caroling. He always made sure he was the one that got to put it on the tree.

I found this picture I guess Kayla took of me wearing my angle pen with B.J.s picture so I decided to include it too. I wear it throughout the holiday. One wing was covered by my sweater but you can still see what it looks like.

Dear Cindy,

Your tree is beautiful!!!! I absolutely love the idea of putting the Christmas cards on the tree...what do you use to hang them? I hope you don't mind me stealing this idea :)

And what a special and wonderful idea to put a memory tree up for loved ones at the mall...I wish we had something like this in our area...this is just so sweet and thoughtful! HUGS and thank you for sharing.

Hugs,
Lynda

Dear Friends,
After replying to Cindy's post the thought of why it is so special to me to be able to share my photos and to be able to look at your photos of your decorations just occurred to me. Very few people, if anyone in our real lives outside of immediate family, truly knows how difficult it is for us to even put up a tree. When I look at your trees, I know they were put up with tears and a huge tug at your hearts...not many people can appreciate, know, or understand how difficult it can be to do this one little task to prepare for the holidays. I just wanted you all to know that I appreciate a grieving families Christmas tree so much more than even the biggest or brightest tree out there. So much love and many tears behind each of these trees!
Hugs,
Lynda

Lynda, I don't mind sharing my idea at all. I just stand them on the tree. They aren't attached with anything. It's funny that you like the idea. When I was posting the pictures I realized the cards were still on the tree but I didn't have the camera to take anymore. I had meant to take the cards off before I took the pictures. I always put our cards on the tree...that way they are handy to pick up and look at again.
Love, Cindy

Dear Cindy,
I am happy you left the cards on there...there was a reason :) And I love the idea! Thanks for sharing.

Dear Carla,
I know how hard this Christmas has been for you and I thank you for taking the time to share your beautiful Christmas tree with us. Like I said earlier...when I look at your trees I see so much more than just a tree...I see tears and love...because I know how hard and how much energy it took for each of my dear friends to put theirs up. HUGS! And thank you for sharing!

Hugs,
Lynda
