I am asking for prayers...We just got home yesterday from being in Charlotte, NC all last week. 3 hours after returning home my 9 yr old daughter received a devastating phone call from her best friend (I don't know if some of you remember me watching 2 girls last year after school...this is the family) that her father had just passed away 3 hours prior. He had beaten cancer a few months ago and after a series of events found out Wednesday that the cancer was back and died 2 days later. My daughter's bestest friend is also only 9 yrs old and her sisters are 10 and 18 years old. Please pray for this family as their whole world has just been turned upside down. I also pray that God will give Calyn the words to say to her best friend and will allow her to be there for her as she needed and was there for Calyn when Garion passed away. We will be going to the funeral tomorrow night so please also pray for us as this will be our first funeral since Garion's. Thank you and miss you all bunches! xoxoxo
Hugs,
Lynda

Lynda,
I feel so bad for that family. I know how hard it is on kids to lose a parent. Laura's boys were about the same ages. I will pray for their family and for yours as well. Love you. Lucy

Thank you all so very much. The funeral was this evening and it was very difficult. Please continue to pray for the children as their daily lives and routines will continue to change as they find a new "normalcy" (whatever that is).
Calyn did have a few moments to sit with her best friend. Her best friend looked at her and asked "do you feel my pain?" and Calyn said "yes, I do." I honestly believe God will use these two girls and the situation they have been forced into and that they will help each other so much over the next few years as they both face many changes at such young ages.
Hugs,
Lynda
