Carla, Perhaps I am naive, but I don't think people say things to be deliberately mean. But, some people say some pretty stupid things at times. While we want people to understand us and our unique pain, we at the same time, are glad that they have not gone through the horror of losing a child. It puts an additional burden on us to try to find the meaning behind the hurtful words and hear not what they said, but what they really meant to say. They don't understand that you cannot "get over" the loss of a child. You only can hope and pray to learn to cope with it. Feel free to tell us what happened in more detail if you need to. I will keep you in my prayers.
