Post subject:  JULY 28th UPDATE Re: Update on Calyn's Dr. appointment

First I want to thank everyone for your prayers. We just got home from the doctor's and Calyn is scheduled for surgery on Monday at 10:00am. They will go ahead and remove all of the birthmark/mole...I am just not sure how long it will take for us to receive the biopsy results...but both doctors agreed that it definitely needs to be removed, especially with the visible changes and the type of mole she has. Please continue to pray for Calyn's comfort (she is very nervous) during the procedure, it should take about 45 minutes. This may sound silly, but I also ask for prayer on the scaring. Calyn is very self conscious about her birthmark and according to the doctors, when all is said and done, she will have about a 4 inch scar (depending on how deep and away from the root they will have to go to make sure they get it all) going from her shoulder down onto her collar bone. For me, this is the least of my worries, but for a little girl it is a big deal. Most importantly I ask for continued prayers on the test results. I will let you all know how everything goes on Monday. Thanks a bunch!
Hugs,
Lynda

Post subject:  July 28th UPDATE on Calyn

Thank you all so much for the prayers! Calyn was a trooper today. We go back to the doctors on Friday to have her stitches (20) removed but we won't find out the test results until next Tues, so we continue to ask for prayers on this. Thank you again!
Hugs,
Lynda
