Post subject: | Sinjin made me cry...Tues. Sept. 25th |
I can't see well enough to write right now. TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 25, 2007 08:07 PM We are sitting here watching dancing with the stars and deciding who our favorites are. Sinjin ate half of a very small pork chop and a lil bit of corn and mashed potatoes, he is trying for me. He woke up this morning sick and throwing up and at this very moment he is trying not to throw up what he just ate. I wish he could hold something on his stomach for more than an hour. Since receiving the blood yesterday he does look better though his wbc has dropped down to 3,000. He smiled alot more tonight and even laughed a few times. As always he talked to Sarah Beth and was in a good mood after talking to her. Each time he hangs up the phone from talking to her he always looks and me and smiles and says Sarah Beth is such a sweet girl isn't she mama and I let him know what a little sweetheart I think she is. Tonight he said something and I thought to myself.. that is so very Sinjin always looking for a bright side. He said" The one good thing that came out of me getting cancer is I got to meet Sarah Beth. It almost mad me cry only because I know now more than ever how very important she is to him. She is his shinning star of hope... He needs hope and he finds it in her. Tomorrow Shannon and I are going to Lampasas Middle School to meet with the teacher that will teach Sinjin while he is in home bound school and I guess there is some paperwork I have to sign. Sinjin wants to go but I do not think it is a goood idea with his wbc dropping so i told him he could not go and he is disappointed but he understands. John wants to call the doctor and tell them Sinjin is feeling a little bettter so they will start his chemo again but I feel he is not well enough yet. It will be a 3 day chemo treatment but I am still afraid. John feels that we ned to just keep moving forward and get through and get it over with and I on the other hand wish we could just wait a while but if I were honest with myself I guess I will never be ready for him to have the next round for fear he will end up back in ICU. |

WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 26, 2007 09:12 PM Took time off from work this morning so I could go to a meeting at Lampasas school ( Thanks to my supervisor Mrs. Toni and the ladies at work Mrs. Lela and Ms Chong for doing my job today while I was away.. Your all three the Best!!! The meeting went pretty well, I met Mr. Best the teacher that will be home bound teaching Sinjin. Sinjin was happy when we told him it would be Mr. Best because he is Sinjin's favorite teacher. He will come to our home twice a week on Tuesday's and Thursday's for 2 hours each day from 4 pm to 6 pm. They said Sinjin will be caught up in no time. While Sinjin is in the hospital he will be taught by the teacher from the hospital. Sinjin is excited but nervous because his memory right now is not as good as it used to be... side effect of the chemo. They are going to work with Sinjin around his treatments and on days he comes if Sinjin does not feel well it may not be the entire 2 hrs day for him, so it will all be up to Sinjin. While in our meeting today we found out there is another young man that has Burkitt's Lymphoma and he and his family just were told last week. He had just started high school from what we were told so now that makes 3. All living within 50 miles of one another. When I told Sinjin he said "Mama this is starting to get weird we need to find out who he is so you and Aaron's mom and his mom can all talk and figure out what we all three have in common. He said " The poor kid just started high school six weeks ago and now he will have to go through all that Aaron and I have and are going through" So I am sitting here thinking this is very strange...lets see less than 300 people a year in the United States get Burkitt's Lymphoma and we have 3 in our area and now I want to know if there are more here. I will go on line in a bit and see what I can dig up. Sinjin held down the lil bit of dinner he had last night and he applesauce for breakfast and a small amount of tomato soup for dinner and so far so good... Hooray Sinjin. No throwing up today for Sinjin today so we will call today a good day. He needs many more good days until he is cured and then he and we will have Super Great Fantastic days. Those are the days i am so looking forward to. I want to let Joyce know that I read her post and we love you and thanks for caring my friend. I am going to call or stop by and see you soon in hopes you can do me a bit of a favor and maybe run a human interest story on Sinjin and Aaron in your newspaper. You see everyone my friends Larry and Joyce own a newspaper Coppers Cove Texas called Coppers Cove Leader Press. It is original and only hometown newspaper and not only do they own the paper they are also the publisher's and have won many awards. Click on this link to see their paper. www.coveleaderpress.com I worked for Larry and Joyce at the newspaper several years ago and I am proud to call them our friends. Joyce came to the hospital and sat with me when Sinjin was in ICU this last time and came to the hospital back in May when we started this journey. They are the BEST !!! So I will close for now and get busy looking for info on cases of Burkitts in this area and see what I can find out. Livingstrong with hope Sinjin's mom |
