I know this is WAY off topic, but I just have to share with someone how stinking proud I am. From the day Karson was born till he was 7 months old, I slept in the recliner with him, every single night, he wouldn't lay down for naps alone, wouldn't sleep alone so I sat up in the recliner for 7 months. Well then he finally would fall asleep in my arms in the recliner and then I could put him in his crib and he would sleep waking up some at night and I would rock him and when he would fall back asleep I put him back to bed. This went on till he was 15 months or so, then he feared his crib so we got him into his toddler bed, he hated it so he slept with Clint and I. Well the last 6 months he has been sleeping in his bed, BUT only if we lay with him till he falls asleep, and then usually in the middle of the night sometime he would crawl into bed with us. Well last night, I went to lay down with him and he says "No mommy, you out" I asked him if he wanted daddy, he said "No me go nite nite in my bed you go in your bed" Ok so I thought this won't last, and I went to bed, I got up after 15 minutes, and guess what?? He was sound asleep!! I was like WOW! Well then I would get up several times last night to check on him but he was sound asleep. Then 5:30am when Clint's alarm went off Karson came into our bed and cuddled with me for a couple min, got up and said "me go back to my bed to go nite nite" I thought yea, he is ready to start his day and will be in there playing. NOPE he was back to sleep and slept till 8:30 this morning. Maybe this is the beginning to him sleeping by himself. I am one proud mommy! |

What a big boy! How sweet it is........... and as important as it is that he learns to sleep in his own bed.....those sweet cuddly nights & mornings are wonderful. Give Karson a big kiss and tell him how very proud we all are of him. He's proud of himself.......... and he deserves to be. He's made a big step forward. He's so precious. He's one of those little ones that make you want to pick him up and kiss his neck until he pleads for mercy. God gave us children to bring smiles and joy into our hearts and to teach us how to give total, unconditional love to another human. love jane |

Dear Tanya, I know this is a huge step for you and precious Karson. Give him lots of hugs from us!!! Also, I am smiling because this reminds me so much of Garion. Garion is our first born and we spoiled him so much. I remember laying and rocking him for hours and hours to get him to sleep. As big as Garion was, once in a while he still would crawl up in bed with us and snuggle. Enjoy every snuggle you can get, they grow up so fast. Hugs, Lynda |
