This is the traditional weekend I go to Lincoln City was a group of women I use to work with. We leave at noon today and will be back Sunday afternoon.

We started with 15 of us. One retired and moved out of town. Then last year one of our dear friends had an aneurysm on her brain and had to have brain surgery. It turned out to be so very much more serious than they thought and she has totally changed. Her entire personality has changed, she's retired now and won't be going. So, that's two of us down. Then a year and a half ago one of our very dear friends slipped on an ice cube at work and fell, breaking her leg and hip in several places. She had to have surgery and a plate put in and has never walked since. She had another surgery a few months back and it just isn't healing as well as the doctor had expected. She's a little older than me and a little bit heavier so adding the age and the few pounds extra and it makes it hard on that injury for her to put any weight on it. So,now we're down three of our group.

Six of us have retired now, and if you count the two who aren't going because of health reasons, eight of us have retired.......... It makes it more difficult to get together so this is one time of the year we set aside to come together to spend these days at the house. It's a beautiful old house build about early 1900........ and it's haunted.... that's another story and I'll post it later. I'm anxious to see if he'll show up again this visit.

The house was used as a rooming house in the 1920's and even before that , it has seven bedrooms a large dining room and three bathrooms. It's beautiful, all wood and copper inside. It's right on the beach....... you look out the windows and the ocean is right below the hill it sits on. It's an incredible view. The weather is supposed to be nice this weekend, cool but sunshiny........so we'll spend time walking on the beach.

I really am reluctant to go, but old friends are important. They knew me back when......... life was ok and I was worrying about things so unimportant I'm astonished now in looking back. But, they've pretty much hung in there for me and I love them.

So, I'll miss all of you, and I'll be on here as soon as I get back on Sunday.

I love all of you, I miss you already and I'm not even gone.

jane

Jane, You go ahead and have a wonderful time at the beach. I would be anxious to hear more about this vacation rental too.

Jane,

We anxiously await your return.

We're never more than a heartbeat away.

Relax in the company of old friends, and savor a steaming cup of coffee in the brisk ocean breeze. You may see your angel Scott in the clouds as your eyes take in the incredible view you spoke of. Your heart deserves a moments peace, and I pray you find it sometime this weekend.

I look forward to reading your post about everything that happened this weekend.

We'll leave the light on for you my friend.......

Love & {{hugs}},

Jo (Kevin's mom forever and ever)

Thinking of you as you travel and most of all wishing you lots of fun. It will be nice to get away and stroll the beach. Maybe get out alone and just sit on the beach and have some "you" time.

I will be thinking of you and awaiting your safe arrival home.
