Oh Tanya, I am so sorry. We had to do that too, many years ago. Queenie was a cockapoo that my husband had had since she was a baby pup. She was 20 years old. She was going blind and was loosing control of her lower back and starting to become incontinent. My son, Russell was only about 2 then and she was snapping at him because she was startled by him as he walked by because she couldn't see him. The vet said it was old age and that while she wasn't in pain, she was never comfortable. We had to let her go. It was very sad and we all cried.

I know cats are completely different than dogs but I watched them put my mom's cat to sleep. It's very hard and to this day I regret watching. I think you made the right choice by not going. Take all the time you need. You will be in my prayers. (((HUGS)))
