Post subject:  Sad day today

Well today is yet another sad day for me. I had to decide to put my doggy to sleep. I have had my dog for 10 years (Clint got him for me our 1st Christmas together) Well the last 4 years he has been completely blind, and is starting to have bladder problems. My mother in law took him for me today as there was no way I was going to be able to do it. I didn't want to but I knew I had to. He had gotten to where he would fall down the stairs, run into more things, snap at Karson more so (he had done it before but it seemed to be getting worse) I miss him so much and making that decision now was hard because this is the 6 month mark after Naudya Jo passed away. I am still having a hard time working through the first 16 days of this month.

I love you all and I know you are here for me but please accept my apologies for being distant right now.

Oh Tanya, I am so sorry. We had to do that too, many years ago. Queenie was a cockapoo that my husband had had since she was a baby pup. She was 20 years old. She was going blind and was loosing control of her lower back and starting to become incontinent. My son, Russell was only about 2 then and she was snapping at him because she was startled by him as he walked by because she couldn't see him. The vet said it was old age and that while she wasn't in pain, she was never comfortable. We had to let her go. It was very sad and we all cried.

I'm sorry Tanya, it's so hard to say good-bye to a pet you've come to love. Our dog Hank came up missing 2 weeks ago and never came back home. I think he went off to die. I hate it cause now we will always have to wonder.
I'll keep you in my prayers, sometimes it just seems too much doesn't it?
Hugs, Cindy

Tanya,

I'm very sorry to hear about your sweet dog. :( I know cats are completely different than dogs but I watched them put my mom's cat to sleep. It's very hard and to this day I regret watching. I think you made the right choice by not going. Take all the time you need. You will be in my prayers. (((HUGS)))

Love,
Drea
