Hello Cindy, I knew I wasn't the only one who had had multiple losses. Welcome. I'm so sorry about your mom. I miss my dad, but I'm lucky to still have my mom. She is going on 87 though. Still when I need my mommy, I need my mommy. Please come back. I would like to make this as wonderful and supportive as the Loss of Child forum. Especially for those who have recently lost their mother or father and are still acutely grieving for them. Perhaps this angelversary made it harder for you this past weekend. God bless you.
Lucy

I had no idea that anyone else from the child loss board had also lost a parent. Unfortunately I lost my mom way too young and the her 2nd angelversary is coming up soon (Dec. 1) and I'm already starting to feel it. I hope we can make this board as wonderful of a support as the child loss board is. Love you all.

Thank you both, not many acknowledge me losing my boys and even fewer on my Mama and Daddy. I don't have my Dad either. He passed away on June 20 1993 when I was 6 months pregnant with my youngest daughter Sarah.
My Dad had been unhealthy for years but I still thought that man would live forever but he didn't. He was in the hospital and I did get to go see him a few days before he died. I had no idea he was sick enough to die. We were going to go see him again on Tues. and got a call on Monday that he was gone. It was the day after Father's Day.
My Mama was a healthy woman or so we thought and she had a massive heart attack one Sunday afternoon and was just gone. I never even got to say good-bye. I think she grieved herself to death over the death of my Dad.
Thank you for letting me share.
Love, Cindy

Mom died in 2001, dad before that. Jim (my husband and soul mate) 2 1/2 years ago...
I came to say that God heals. I was frozen ... dis-functional and in constant pain.

I started journaling. Also writing songs. It helped. But ultimately it was God who helped me recover.

I post this for the purpose of hope... and to let some know about one of my songs... called "See You Again Someday" and also "Celebration". Celebration is about family and how we are gifts to one another. The last verse is: In Heaven - there's a family reunion. No more crying... there is JOY all the time. Who will be there ... at this family reunion. Restoration- for all time. In God's presence- for all time. Celebration- for all time..... Celebration.

God gives beauty for ashes... Joy for mourning... I can attest to that. This too shall pass. It may not pass easily. It may take longer than you think you can stand. but I can say after all these losses- it can pass. And eventually God can open up a new season... with healing activities- to fill your life and give you a new normal. I hope you all don't mind this message of HOPE. Two years ago I could not have written it.

My songs are at mysapce.com/songbirdcindy Click on the songs in the player and they will automatically play. I ask God right now to lesson your pain and lift your heavy burden. Help husbands and wives to hold one another and talk again. IJN Amen

Sincerely
Cindy T
