Every time I sit down to type I start crying. It's been 3 months. I live 1800 miles away from my whole family. I'll never forget the phone call at 1:30 AM on Dec 31, 2009. Let me start at the beginning. In 2003 my husband, 2 kids and I moved from SoCal to Indianapolis. Me and the kids took a trip back in 2005. 4 years later my family flew me out in Dec 2009 as a 50th birthday present. Hadn't seen family forever. It was great. My little brother made me great margaritas, we took lots of pictures. My brother gave me a ride in his Jeep back to our parents were I was staying. I flew back to Indy the next day. 2 weeks later I got the phone call. Him and friends and family went out to the desert for the New year weekend to do four-wheeling, rock climbing, stuff like that. The first day there something terrible went wrong and his Jeep rolled over on him and he died instantly out there in the desert. He was 43 years old. For the first couple months I've been ok. So I thought. Now I'm a mess. I have no one to really talk to. I feel alone. I want to go home so bad but my life is here now.

I feel your pain. I wake every morning still sick with grief over the loss of my brother. He was the light of my life. April 29th,2009removing him from ls April 30 will be two days that will undoubtedly haunt me for the rest of my life. Mornings are always the toughest for me. The tears never stop.... What I can tell you is the reason no one will talk to you is their grief probably has them in denial, the last thing I try to think about throughout the day is losing him, once I do, the day is shot... No one will ever know a siblings grief, unless they themselves are one. One thing that has helped me is writing poetry, I post it on his myspace page. His name is Derek Cline. Anyway keep yourself busy and find an outlet for your emotions, like I said mine is writing, I've probably written enough poems in the past 13 months to fill s book... If you ever need someone to talk to or cry with hit me up on myspace D's sis Good luck and may God be with you.

I know this topic is very old but I just posted to show my feelings towards it. I am sorry about your brother, the feeling is mutual because I also lost a brother a month ago. He was a friend, a good listener and my bestfriend. That is why I am sometimes doing or reading forums so that I can have someone to talk to. I am single and alone. And because I am all alone, I took a funeral plan management so that my long distant relatives won't worry in the future.

I'm so sorry to hear about your loss. I really feel the pain you're feeling with your loss sibling. I can't imagine myself feeling that sorrow. I think it will really be hard to accept and deal with. But even though, you need to continue with your life and just think that he is now in a better place.
