My mother was 50 years old. Her first grandbaby, my son, turned 6 months old the day before she passed away. (1-29-07) She never got to see him crawl, eat his first jarred food, or "talk". I look at him and I see so much of her. So, so much. My 2 sisters and I are all in our very early adult years. Whereas our little brother just turned 14 years old. We have all begun to appreciate life more now and see it for what it's worth, not for what our lives are lacking. She brought us up very well and has taught us all many great values that we'll always remember and follow.

She was a very funny person, a 'kid at heart' as they say. She always made cheesy jokes and would sometimes be the only one laughing at her jokes. We would say, "Mom, you're such a dork." and she'd always chipperly reply, "I know!" She had a contagious laugh. That is one thing I will always remember. Her hugs are pretty much what I miss the most. She collected celestial themed items such as sun, moon, stars, and angels. She is now among them and will forever be loved and missed.

R.I.P. mom, I love you

My Mom passed away about 9 months ago, it was a tragic event that has changed my life as well as my brother and sister's and our childrens as well. My Mom was 55 years old, she had asthma and chronic bronchitis. One morning she woke up and realized she was in dire need of her asthma inhaler, but it was just about out. She had 3 of her grandkids at her home at the time, and asked my sister to run to town to pick up another inhaler. By the time my sister returned, my Mom was in full respritory failure, 911 was called and they took her to the hospital, placed her on life support, and then told us, after several tests were done, that she had sustained severe brain damage and would not recover. Being the oldest, I had to deal with the Dr.'s and the organ donor team. We stayed by her side for 3 days, they finally removed her from the life support, and we then stayed by her side for 3 more days. Our Mom came from a large family, and her siblings all flew or drove up to be with us during this horrific ordeal. My Mom never regained consciousness, but I feel that she was there with us, and I pray she was not afraid of passing on. We loved her dearly; she was the nicest person you could hope to meet, always there to cheer you up, always there to give you a bear hug! And how she loved Russel Crowe!!! I think of my Mom every day, I think about what she would say about our weather, or the latest gossip from Hollywood. I miss her so much, I will never be the same person, but I hope that her Spirit will stay close to mine, and I will feel her hugs forever.

I lost my mom at age 49 to LEUKEMIA, she never knew she had it, she had signs of fatigue and migraines (which everyone has) and then she passed out at home and was rushed to the hospital where she died 3 days later. We are 7 children 5 girls and 2 boys without our mom. No one knows how hard its been the past 10 years since she died, it doesnt get easier with time, you only try to make it as time goes by, our hearts are still heavy and we miss her especially around the holdiays. when we go to the cemetary we cry and sob as if it was just yesterday. We so long to hear her voice again, her hgs her smile. She was such a saint, she lvoed evryone and everyone loved her. She loved children everyone called her their second mom...she never got tired and loved having family around...she was too good for Earth and God took her home....we miss her more than words can ever say, more than we can express the heaviness of our hearts and more than the tears that flow on our pillows at ngiht....

I am hear for you if you want to talk...I know this is new to you since you just lost her...alone we are lonely together we can give each other support and comfort to carry on and know they are in a much better place...! - God bless you!

P.S. For those of you who have their mom. please dont let little thngs get in your way, no one loves you more than the person who bore and raised you! She nurtured you and took care of you and a mothers job is never over not even when your old enough and on your own, her worries are for a lifetime for her children....I thank God that we all got along with my mother and we always loved and respected her...we used to say "MOM knows best"! and how true that is....nothing has been the same since she left we were all a big happy family and everyone took her passing hard..especially our younger brother he has never been the same....we wonder if he ever will. The rest of us moved on we have no choice, but it doesnt mean our hearts dont ache....

GIANNA remember her thru your memories, keep smiling as she smiles down on you and is with you every day as my mine is...I feel her presence especially when im not having a good day....she makes me know she is there!

I think your mother was really nice woman. I m so sorry for loss of your mom. Loss of mother is very painful for child and difficult to deal with this grief. Mother's love is very important for child. Death is he law of nature and everyone going to heaven one day. You should move on. My prayers and condolences for you.
