Tammy,
My comfort comes from and old wore out OU cap Michael wore all the time.He din't like to wash it because he would say"Now it won't fit me right".I tried to throw that cap away 5 different times but it kept coming back, so I gave up.I'm so glad I still have now and ih hangs on the wall in Michaels' bedroom right where he left.
I believe he's wearing that cap in the pic I have on my siggy.

I love the piture of Angelica, shes so precious!
Love and HUgs,
Barbara

What of Garion brings me comfort? I don't know if I can narrow that down to just one thing. I guess I would have to say any of his clothing, since that is what was closest to him at one time or another. His dresser is still in his room with his clothes in it as he left them. I can open the drawer once in a while, and be alright. Other times I break down holding a shirt of his, trying so hard to smell it. If I break down and cry, does that mean it brings me comfort? All I know is that I would go balistic if anyone messed with ANY of his stuff.
One thing that I do cherish is his scout uniform shirt with all of the patches he earned. That is pretty special to me!
Of course I also have Garion's ashes in a special treasure chest made for him. I have been known to sit and "hold" him when I need the comfort of feeling him near. I know he isn't there, but it is the closest thing I have to having him. Most people would think this is odd, but it is so normal to me. Only a grieving parent would understand...maybe?
Hugs,
Lynda

Lynda....

I completely understand. No one can say that whatever it is we do to feel closer to our Angels is wrong. The choice is ours. Personally, when I want to feel close to the boys, I get out the pictures and shadow boxes, open them, and hold the items. It doesn't necessarily make me feel better, but it takes me back to the one and only time that I did get to hold them in my arms.

Thank you Tonya. I only do this when I am alone, and I have my own time with Garion. But it is a special time between us. And your right...whatever we do to find comfort, is OK, regarless of what other people think. Thank you for understanding.
Hugs,
Lynda

B.J. made a throw pillow in homemaking one year (yes he took homemaking, I think all boys should). It's a soccor ball. I sleep with it everynight because it is something that was made by his hands. Also many times during the day I go sit or lie on my bed and hug it up to me. How I miss those hands...I use to hold his hand at night when I would bless him.

What makes me feel close to Wayne and Buck is a little keychain that was given to me. It has two sets of baby footprints on it. I think it was really meant for footprints in the sand but not to me. It's my baby boys footprints...it's all I have.

There are so many of Clint's things that bring me comfort too. If I had to narrow it down I would say his little jammy pants. I picked them up when he was killed and held onto them for weeks afterwards. They went to the funeral with me, everywhere I went. This picture is his Bun-Bun, who he still slept with, holding those little jammy pants.
