Tomorrow is Ezri's 2nd heavenly birthday. I wish I could say the 2nd year is easier than the first, but it isn't. Not for me at least.

Another bereaved parent mentioned this incredible website to me: http://www.akiane.com. Akiane is a child prodigy who started drawing at age 4 and painting at age 6. Even though she was born to atheistic parents, at age 4, she told them that God took her to heaven and says her paintings reflect the images God shows her.

She is the only known child binary genius and one of the top 20 artists in the world. Her paintings and reflections on them are amazing.

I made a collage from images of a few her paintings and superimposed them over one of my favorite photos of Ezri. It's one of the few things I can do to commemorate my daughter whom I love and miss so much.

That is an incredible picture George. What a beautiful child your precious little girl is. (I can never bear to refer to one of our angels as "was" I always refer to them as "is"..........)

I've just begun the second year and so far it hasn't been any easier than the first. I don't think it will get easier, I believe we somehow learn to live with the pain.

I will check out that web site immediately. It looks fascinating. thank you for sharing.

George, I just spent an hour on this web site and I cannot thank you enough! This child is incredible! Her talent and her wisdom are beyond anything that could be written or painted by an ordinary child.

She must be an angel sent to earth to share God's love with us. I have no other way to describe her. She has an inner knowledge about life and faith that few have ever known.

I'll go back often to visit her site.......She inspired me so very much. I cannot say how much I enjoyed that brief time with her.

Your angels is beautiful...I also think that graphic is amazing.

Tyler has spent his 18th, 19th, and 20th...his golden birthday in Heaven. They were all hard. I don't think it gets easier. I finally got his pictures developed from his Golden birthday balloon launch which was Sept. 20. I plan on putting them on his website to share with everyone. I will post when I get them on.

I pray that you are comforted by loved ones, and feel the arms of your angel around you. God Bless.

George, I'll be lifting your family in prayer as I know tomorrow is such a sad day. The picture you fixed for your sweet little Ezri is beautiful but I think it's her that makes it that way.I visited the site you mentioned and that little girl does wonderful painting. Definitely a gift from the Lord.
Love and prayers, Cindy

George & family,

What an amazing graphic you made for your precious Ezri.....she is truly a beautiful child.

I will hold her, and your family, close to my heart today. These dates that we as parents now endure are heart-wrenching.

Love & {{Hugs}},

George,

I just visited Ezri's memory site, my prayers will be with you and your family today. This day is so dreaded and brings with it renewed pain and memories, as if it happened yesterday.

Believe that in heaven there will be rejoicing........bringing home such a beautiful, precious angel is great cause for celebration. On earth, this day seems unbearable.......

May God send comfort to you and hold you in his arms today. You will be sent much love and many prayers today from this forum.

God Bless you,
Jane

Today was just as difficult as anticipated, but friends help us through it. We had lunch with another bereaved parent, then dinner with 3 other families. When we visited our daughter's grave in between, it was covered with flowers, cards, and toys. While we were there, another family from our church showed up.

I had never heard of Willow Tree figurines, but someone left one at the grave and another person gave us one as a gift. When we got home, we realized that someone had given us one the previous year, but we didn't know what it was called. So we have 3 of them now.

I can't thank you enough for your encouraging words. I read the post and appreciated all the comments, thoughts, prayers, and well wishes. It help us survive this hellacious day.

George
